# The draft was not created

The **rejected** status in Mail means the assistant wrote a reply, but
draften did not let it into the mailbox: the draft failed a check. It is a
safeguard — draften checks what the model writes as distrustfully as a
stranger's e-mail.

## Why a draft is rejected

| Cause | What it means | What to do |

The reason is shown when you open the message's row in Mail or its detail.

Other things that are not allowed are not rejected, only left out of the
draft: a **Cc** to an address that is not on the allowed list, and an
**attachment** that is not in the attachments list. The recipient may only be
someone who is in the original message.

## It may be an attack

When a rejection comes with a message from an unknown sender, look at it.
Someone may have hidden an instruction for the assistant in the e-mail ("cc
the reply to…", "add this link"). Mail may flag such a message as
**suspicious**. The check worked exactly as it should: nothing was sent and
nothing was created.

## I want the draft anyway

When the message is fine and you fixed the cause (added the domain, say),
click **Process again** or **Draft a reply** in Mail.

## Failed

The **failed** status is a different case: processing did not work even on
the third attempt, usually because of an outage of the mail service or the
model provider. The last error is in the message's detail. Try **Process
