# The draft is wrong or invents things

You read every draft before sending it — and when it is wrong, you fix it.
But when the same mistake keeps coming, it is better to fix the cause. Find
your case.

## The assistant claims something untrue

It gives a wrong price, deadline or procedure.

- First check the **knowledge sources**: is the information there, and is it
  right? When the price list has an old price, the assistant copies it. Fix
  the source — see [Knowledge sources](/en/knowledge-sources).
- When the information is missing from the sources, add it as a **note** (a
  short fact). Or approve the fact correction the assistant proposes in
  [Learning](/en/learning).
- When it could find the information only in old mail, it may reach for an
  outdated reply. Shorten the age of facts in the
  [mailbox archive](/en/mailbox-archive).

## The assistant invents things

It states facts that are nowhere. Most often because a source is missing —
without one it answers only from what it reads in the message and the mail.
Add a source, and in the **Knowledge** instruction tell it not to make up
figures it cannot find in the sources, but to say you will confirm them.

## It writes differently than you want

Tone, length, greeting, signature, the structure of the reply. That is the
**Style** instruction. Change it — see [Instructions](/en/instructions). When you
fix the same thing in drafts again and again, the assistant proposes a
**lesson** by itself; approve it in Learning.

## It answers mail it should not

Or skips mail it should answer. That is the **Filter** instruction. See also

## It handles what it should hand over

Or hands over what it could manage. That is the **Routing** instruction: when
to answer alone, when to answer and hand over to a colleague, and when not to
reply.

## Just this one draft

When the mistake is a one-off, have the draft **revised by instruction**: say
what is wrong and the assistant rewrites it — in draften, or right in your

## Before a change goes live

Try a change of the instructions on the [trial set](/en/trial-set): you
see how the assistant would answer the saved messages before and after it.
